Why homeowners pick LUX

Twenty-one seasons of Houston rooflines.

Houston homes since 2005

I hung my first Christmas lights professionally in 2005. Twenty-one seasons later, it is still what LUX does best, and most of my customers come back every year.

The same crew, every year

My regular crew has been with me for 8 years. The people on your roof this season are the same ones who come back next season, and they already know your house.

You own your lights

Your first install includes your lights, custom-cut to your home. After that they are yours, we store them free, and each season after the first costs about 20% less.

What we do

Christmas lights, made easy.

One thing, done right: commercial-grade Christmas lights cut to your home, installed with no damage, serviced all season, taken down in January, and stored free until next year.

Maintenance, takedown & storage included

A bulb out in December is my problem, not yours. We keep the display running all season, take everything down in January, and store your lights at no charge until next year.

Free storage, every year

The real product

The actual lights we hang on your home

This is a close-up from one of our installs: commercial-grade bulbs, each seated in a clip that grips the shingle or gutter line. They go up one by one at an even spacing so the line reads crisp and continuous from the street.

It is a small thing up close, but it is why our rooflines look sharp instead of patchy. Even spacing, true warm color, and a clean clip line are the details a store-bought strand never gets right.

This is a real LUX install. Add each piece and watch the same house change, with an honest price range as you go. For an itemized estimate, see pricing.

Good to know

Common questions

The things Houston homeowners ask most, answered straight.

How much do professional Christmas lights cost?

Installs start at $800, and a typical first year runs around $1,600 for a full display: your lights custom-cut to the house, the install, mid-season maintenance, takedown, and storage. After the first year you own the lights, so every season after costs about 20% less.

Do I own the lights, or am I renting them?

You own them. Your first install includes commercial-grade lights cut to fit your home, and after that season they are yours. We store them for you at no charge and hang the same set every year, so you are never paying for the product twice.

When should I book?

Booking opens in late summer and the calendar fills fast. Early installs start in October at a discounted rate, and the lights stay dark until you want them on. By mid-November the best dates are usually gone, so earlier is always better.

Do you take the lights down?

Yes. Takedown is part of every job, and your lights are down before the end of January. Then we box and store them free until next season.

Do you need to come out to give me a quote?

Usually not. Send a few photos of your house and I measure the roofline right from them, then send back a real price along with a mockup of your own home lit, so you see the finished look before you decide anything.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. A deposit books your install date and comes straight off your total, and the balance is due the day the install wraps. There is nothing more to pay after that: maintenance, takedown, and storage are already part of the price.

What areas do you serve?

Central Houston and the north side: The Woodlands, Spring, Kingwood, Humble, Atascocita, Cypress, and everything inside the 610 Loop. If you are close but not sure, send your address and I will tell you fast.
